Tom Klein is an Industry Vertical Advisor for the Travel, Hospitality and Wellness industry. He handles matters relating to these sectors including, consulting, recruitment and strategic development and deployment. He is also an integral part of the firm’s advisory team in the areas of Leadership, Board and C-Suite Strategic Advisory. With more than 35 years of experience, he has held C-suite and senior executive positions with top global brands, including Hyatt, Ritz Carlton, Raffles, Fairmont, Swissotel, Sun International and Canyon Ranch. He also has extensive experience in establishing and strengthening these brand positions in their respective markets. Tom has spent significant time operating independent properties and portfolios of hotels & resorts in the international market, including Australia, South Africa, Ecuador, Peru and the United States. Tom has been extensively involved in driving exceptional results for brands and ownership groups.
Before joining Level 5 Partners as an Industry Vertical Advisor, Tom spent four years as President & Chief Operating Officer for Canyon Ranch, based in their headquarters in Fort Worth, TX. Tom began his career as a server in the hospitality industry after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Boston University and continued his educational engagement by completing MBA courses at Loyola University.
He currently sits on numerous industry related advisory boards and also serves as a Board Member and Treasurer for the Wellness Tourism Association, as well as Board Member for the Cornell University, Institute for Healthy Futures. He frequently moderates and is a panelist on industry panels and is an invited guest speaker at universities and conferences. Outside of the office and residing in La Quinta, California, he enjoys spending time with his family, travel, golfing, riding his Harley Davidson and most recently engaging with neighborhood friends in pickleball matches.
